The Consultation process is flawed and discriminatory. Publicity and public awareness had been poor as I suspect many householders haven't been made aware of the Local Plan or in a postion to comment.

Relevant areas: Coronation Road: Aldridge North Brownhills Yorks Bridge Pelsall and all other green belt land.
What happen with all extra traffic in these areas where the roads struggle to operate efficiently now.
What happens to all the wildlife: there are always deers in these areas also bats etc.
then there the pollution. We already have to deal with waste rubbish tips that smell. also onyx or leigh environment on our doorsteps should we also be having to deal with extra pollution, lots more disruption. What about the schools. How are local schools going to cope with much more pupils on our doorstep while already under pressure. we should be keeping these green space areas in this uncertain times of global warming.

It is a greenbelt area that you want to build on- we need to protect our environment.
It is a residental area which will suffer a great deal of disruption, mess, pollution, possible dangerous scenarios.
There are no beneifts to local residents who are paying enourmous amounts of council tax.
We should be protecting nature.
I also feel we should support and improve social housing in areas where it already exists- plenty of those near to WS4.
Who are the faceless people who are making these life changing decisions?
Who is profiting from this proprosal and how?
I look forward to hearing from you.

I have numerous concerns and complaints about the information contained in the black Country plan.
Firstly the communication about the consultation itself has been incredibly poor. I have a site at the back of my property marked as a Potential site in a small residential street and NONE of my neighbours have had anything directly from The council to us to us to indicate that this is going on and that we as residents directly affected by the potential for a new housing estate at the back of our homes should view the information and respond accordingly. If my neighbour wants to change their windows they are supposed to request planning permission and I’d be notified directly but the potential for a huge new housing estate has not been communicated to me at all. This is absolutely shocking, there are many many homes in multiple areas that have no idea of the housing plans and therefore are unable to use their voices. This alone should be reason to rethink this consultation process and communicate directly with the local residents.
I found out by accident at the last minute today and therefore had no time to put together a detailed response.
I would like to register a second complaint. This is specifically related to the communication on the proposals with the residents of Streetly which had been absolutely disgusting. The Vast majority of the local population have absolutely no idea that this proposal exists.
I found out about this in the last 2 days I live on Wood Lane in Streetly I have received No communication of these plans to my property.
I have checked with the following roads by just contacting people I know and the following roads have had no communication either
Chester road (by the hardwick)
Lindrosa road
Coniston Road
Windermere drive
Manor Road
Nicholas Road
Astor Road
Redlands way
Grosvenor Avenue
Foley road east
This has been found out in literally 30 minutes quickly, this is NOT an extensive check of the areas and roads in Streetly that have or haven’t received leaflets. This is just a quick round robin check on a few friends in
The area.
I am aware that residents on hardwick road And thistle down close did have something but they said that it was so difficult to navigate to what the plans actually were they didn’t realise it affected the Streetly area specifically.
I can’t believe how you could plan
To disrupt and change the entire area and community without a proper opportunity for the residents to fully understand what’s going on. If my neighbour wish to make any changes to their property I and clearly notified that it affects me by building control and I’m
Given the opportunity to respond properly and a link to do so which directly takes me to what is affecting me personally.
Most of the resident are NOT on face book which is how I came across what was going on.
This is appalling and the whole consultation should be done again and communicated properly with those people in The entire Streetly community who this will affect.
This can be allowed. DO BETTER ON THIS CONSULTATION

The map you provide on the website is so blurred that it is impossible to discern exactly where development is being proposed.
This consultation has not been publicised widely enough, as per legal requirements. Several people who have attended planning consultation meetings for Essington and Wednesfield in the past have not been aware of it. The time limit should be extended until more people have the chance to respond.

Our objections to the proposed planning are:
a) The loss of greenbelt land
b) The increase of even more pollution as there is already a large industrial estate and large foundary very close by
c) more traffic pollution
d) large volumes of traffic
e) The increase of more noise levels plus the impact on our quality of life

4. I also object on the grounds the consultation process is flawed and discriminatory towards the local Walsall and Birmingham residents.
Very little effort has been made by Walsall council to make people aware of these proposals and to my knowledge no consultation has been offered for local residents
This will undoubtedly impact lives and well beings of all local people let alone Birmingham Emergency Services of which it is no secret they are already over stretched.
Ultimately this will require additional funding. Birmingham residents who have not had a voice will be financially affected.
Having asked locally there is Very little or No Knowledge of the proposals

I fully object to these building contracts going ahead due to:
1. Building contracts should never be built on Green Belt Lane
2. There will be huge disruption to nature/wildlife
3. These local areas are already at breaking points due to insufficient schools, hospitals, GP Practices, and shops, together with overloading drainage systems and roads.
4. Traffic congestion and pollution

The page is very confusing for people to make a comment I find very confusing a lot people said the same
Also what I believe is there should be more education for all ages so more programs for people of a certain age short courses and especially usually schools community halls churches to promote these make it more accessible and also putting things online as well courses because not everyone can get to the venues especially it’s made me more aware and Covid not everyone can get to like meetings or things so doing it online and having it as a course like you can go so if people do end up getting ill they can do you know go to either have a choice I just think they need to be more accessible courses make it more fordable for people to have an education even when they hate especially when people get over their 30s there’s nothing also setting up a program for young old and all ages and getting it into schools as well like letting kids think about like having career days in schools not just high schools but junior schools infant schools let people go in a different jobs and careers and talk holding things in the local areas with the libraries and everything getting more courses for people making it more affordable and accessible for people and using online and giving people that choice and doing more apprenticeships things that the children can go into when I leave school and doing like more college days And like having more like of an education thing in school where people can talk about their what they want to be when they grow up and having people obviously going in speak about it I’m just doing that and also for older people let it just be more there so people can get it and let people have the choice of picking their own careers and obviously can change the careers if it doesn’t suit them and a better understanding and also make it more fair for people with learning difficulties been able to get employment and also giving people a choice of hands-on work if they’re not so academically And people who are academically let them have a choice of what they would like to do as well needs to be put in stuff online as well as being in person it will give people that option Also having job centres might be on peoples doorsteps as well or job places where people can go to community halls and make it easy or do it all online even like making an immobiliser or anything like that or a filling in forms online

There is much that is constructive about the draft BCP. It is an impressive piece of work. But the Consultation on the BCP is complicated and daunting for many of us. It is unlikely to be a true reflection of what people want.
Planning regulations are so lengthy and complex. An Aide Memoire to the Black Country Plan will help. It could also help the public understand the planning process.

This is absolutely ludicrous. Why has it not been publicly announced. Why is it being classed as a Brownfield site just because it used to have greenhouses on it. This is nothing more than a money making scheme.

I am also concerned about the lack of public consultation and short time frame for objections to be submitted. I only found out of these plans by a chance encounter with a fellow dog walker this morning. These plans should have been published much better to local residents.

3. Concerns regarding the management of the consultation period
I would also like to complain about how the council have communicated with residents in our area about the Black Country Plan. Although we note that the consultation has been running from 16th August, documents making us aware of the plan were only posted through our door in the week commencing 4th October. This has meant that I have had a very short period of time to respond to this plan, as I was unaware of its existence until last week. If this has been replicated throughout the borough then many residents will not have had time to submit a formal objection. In order to show the strength of feeling regarding this matter I would like to draw your attention to the petition ·https://www.change.org/p/black-country-plan-dudley-gov-uk-save-our-green-belt-alongside-walsall-arboretum, which has amassed 1,800 signatures in just 1 month.

its not fair to the people of the community to give planning permission for so many house to be on greenbelt land just for money ,,it should have proper
consultation of the people it affects ,, not everyone uses computers to find out information about what's going to happen in their area ,,, letters should be sent our to every house hold within that area it affects , not just nearby but the whole of Kingswinford or which ever area its affecting

This email is being sent on behalf of myself and my husband, Mr and Mrs Chapman. We do not have access to the internet and therefore feel this process is discriminatory and underhanded.
We have lived in Great Barr for [redacted]. We knew nothing about your plans to destroy our conservation area until l we received documents on from a fellow resident and not from Walsall council or any other source that had moral and civic duty to inform us.
We strongly object to your proposal as what you are doing will destroy this community. We bought our property in this area due to the rural setting, we want to see horses not houses and enjoy every aspect of the green landscape we have. We know that this proposal goes hand in hand with the proposals to build on Doe bank lane and to deny it, is an insult to the people of Great Barr.
We object to the building proposal as well and yet again you have excluded us from the process by making it impossible for us to object. Walsall council shame on you!!

The worst issue of this proposal, is your lack of decency towards the people it is going to affect the most. This area has a big population of elderly residents, some of whom have lived here for over 50 years. The way you have handled this proposal, completely discriminates against this section of our community and excludes them from having any input.
Sadly I believe that you have deliberately dealt with this in such a way, that you would receive the least objections to this proposal.
... I am also objecting on behalf of mr & Mrs Derek chapman [redacted]. They are both in their 80,s and have been excluded from this process due to lack of internet access. To treat the elderly in our communities in this way is disgusting,

Apart from my comments in the attached form, I would like to add that I think the whole consultation process has been conducted by stealth! There has been every effort made to try and avoid a full consultation with residents of the areas concerned by not publicizing what the plans are openly and clearly. When anyone did try to look at the documents they have been written in such a way as to make it difficult to actually identify the areas concerned and to put people off by making the documents as longwinded as possible.
