I have numerous concerns and complaints about the information contained in the black Country plan.

Firstly the communication about the consultation itself has been incredibly poor. I have a site at the back of my property marked as a Potential site in a small residential street and NONE of my neighbours have had anything directly from The council to us to us to indicate that this is going on and that we as residents directly affected by the potential for a new housing estate at the back of our homes should view the information and respond accordingly. If my neighbour wants to change their windows they are supposed to request planning permission and I’d be notified directly but the potential for a huge new housing estate has not been communicated to me at all. This is absolutely shocking, there are many many homes in multiple areas that have no idea of the housing plans and therefore are unable to use their voices. This alone should be reason to rethink this consultation process and communicate directly with the local residents.

I found out by accident at the last minute today and therefore had no time to put together a detailed response.

I would like to register a second complaint. This is specifically related to the communication on the proposals with the residents of Streetly which had been absolutely disgusting. The Vast majority of the local population have absolutely no idea that this proposal exists.

I found out about this in the last 2 days I live on Wood Lane in Streetly I have received No communication of these plans to my property.

I have checked with the following roads by just contacting people I know and the following roads have had no communication either

Chester road (by the hardwick)
Lindrosa road
Coniston Road
Windermere drive
Manor Road
Nicholas Road
Astor Road
Redlands way
Grosvenor Avenue
Foley road east

This has been found out in literally 30 minutes quickly, this is NOT an extensive check of the areas and roads in Streetly that have or haven’t received leaflets. This is just a quick round robin check on a few friends in
The area.

I am aware that residents on hardwick road And thistle down close did have something but they said that it was so difficult to navigate to what the plans actually were they didn’t realise it affected the Streetly area specifically.

To disrupt and change the entire area and community without a proper opportunity for the residents to fully understand what’s going on. If my neighbour wish to make any changes to their property I and clearly notified that it affects me by building control and I’m
Given the opportunity to respond properly and a link to do so which directly takes me to what is affecting me personally.

Most of the resident are NOT on face book which is how I came across what was going on.

This is appalling and the whole consultation should be done again and communicated properly with those people in The entire Streetly community who this will affect.
