I wish to object to the proposed 14 houses on the WEC site Smestow Valley.

I am [Redacted- GDPR] and have used this area all my life. I used to go to the open days and learn about the nature, pond dipping etc. I utilised the area for going to and from school safely and played in the area with my friends. I cannot imagine houses in this area, it will completely destroy the wildlife and plants, the wildlife pools.

This area is used by all not just the young. There’s runners, bike riders, dog walkers etc. Its a safe area for everyone to enjoy and really can’t believe you want to take it away when we haven’t hardly any green areas to enjoy at all. All you will create is more fumes and noise pollution. Whatever you say about protecting the wildlife while work is going on will be a lie. We will lose all of it as nature cannot flourish under concrete.

It saddens me to think if I ever have children they will not be able to enjoy the area as I did or have a safe passage to schools.

Please think long and hard before you destroy an area loved by many in Wolverhampton.
