Coronation Road/ Mob Lane - Aldridge North & Walsall Wood

We feel that any proposed development to the land in question would be detrimental to the green belt corridor and the local community, who enjoy the space for walks & well being (a godsend during lockdown). Years go when the land was planted up with trees and shrubs (which are all now well established) We were told and have always believed it to be part of the Black Country Urban Forest.

There is also a high abundance of wildlife that also benefit from the area. They include foxes, squirrels, hedgehogs, ducks, voles, woodpeckers, jays, finches, blue tits robins and occasionally bats and owls, and many other species of birds, that need to be preserved.

We think that any development would be a great loss to our community, which serves as a safe space for residents to walk their dogs and children to play away from main roads and pollution. We need our green spaces and we need more trees not less.

Boris Johnson, in his Conservative Conference Speech on Wednesday 6th October, on the question of planning, promised that there should be no building on green fields!!
