Absolutely disgusted that a proposal has been made to destroy this beautiful green space. Leave the green space alone, this area is enjoyed by many and is home to wildlife. There are plenty of areas for regeneration, LEAVE GREEN SPACES ALONE! We should be treasuring our green areas not piling loads of concrete on them! I strongly oppose this suggestion as it completely goes against environmental protection. Shame on you if this goes ahead!

The draft report of land indicated (CORONATION ROAD VICARAGE RD, MOB LANE, WALSALL)
1. The land is highly productive farm land.
2. Encompasses a geological fault (Vigo Fault)
3. Flood plane is largest in proposed plans, will get larger with predicted adverse weather patterns.
4. What is the % other boroughs have contributed to this plan It appears Walsall has the highest proportion of housig planned, this is not in interest of Fainess or equality of residents in Walsall.
5. This area has high density of biodiversity, Bats, Newts, Migratory Birds, Butterflies/Moths, Frogs, Hedghogs, Flora/fauna, Deer.

1. Road Infrastructure in around this area is not sufficient to support this proposal of 713 homes. Traffic jams of 1/2 a mile are not uncommon along Vicarage road to Shelfield and other locations.
2. This is productive farmland.
3.This area has the highest flood plane area in Walsall proposal. Global warming is accepted and will have detrimental effects making this flood plane larger.
4. Vigo Fault on this land makes it unstable.
5. Biodiversity, a number of species occupy this area, an extension of the Nature conservation area to be implemented.

The transport strategy falls short and does not encompass the regular volume of traffic in this area. regular 1/2 mile tailbacks. A simple traffic island at Coronation Road/Vicarage will not remedy this. High accident rate has resulted in traffic calming/amending of traffic lights to prevent further loss of life/accidents, further development on this site will cause havoc and go against counsel strategy of enhancing life for residents in Walsall. Should this development be approved the council is planning to fail the people of Walsall.

I object to housing at WAH238 Coronation Road /Mob Lane, High Heath. There is minimal public transport in this area. There is only 1 bus route and very few safe cycling routes. This will force all new house occupants onto the road network. Coronation Road and the sorrounding area is already unable to deal with the traffic. Buses are unable to navigate through parked vehicles, there’s regular congestion from Shelfield Academy as well as speeding drivers creating danger. There is not sufficient infrastructure in the area to support new housing on green belt land

This is an insane plan to place an estate in this location and must be quashed. The flood plane is within the building proposal. Global warming will extend this flooding, this area already floods over roads and property, you are proposing building poor quality housing for Walsall residents. I am glad you are taking responsibility for the cost this misery will cost.
The infrastructure will not handle this extra development roads are already overloaded with regular lengthy traffic jams. Ormiston School is at capacity you are generating a world of misery for existing residents, the school and general area.

Pelsall and its road network will not cope with another 723 families living in our small village. The amount of traffic in the surrounding areas due to extra residents will cause serious accidents as the roads are so small and already main bus routes, with heavy traffic especially around the schools. Schools will be over crowded which will put a strain on the local children's education. The loss of green belt will be huge to the community. In Coronation Road already cars mount the path as they race down our street. More cars would surely end with a fatal accident.

Over intensification of land.
Traffic jams in Mill Road Fallbrook Lane at rush-hour no plans for extra infrastructure to relieve pressure on roads
No rail service nearest railway station is approximately 4 1/2 miles away.
Pressure on local amenities i.e. schools and community and sporting facilities
Lack of spaces in health facilities such as doctors and dentists

We moved back to walsall [redacted personal information]. The green space behind our houses are what makes it feel less like a town, more like beautiful country village life. Building more houses here will take away our "on the doorstep" family walks and will create more pollution. Please don't build here. More houses, more residents, more crime, more traffic in an already busy area. This area feels a safe and beautiful place to bring up our kids, please don't take that away

It is nonsensical to propose destroying the green belt and in the next breath, talk about enhancing biodiversity. How can the planned housing proposal in Pelsall/Shelfield be described as low to medium density when you are planning to cram hundreds of houses into the areas in question? The character of the existing neighbourhood will be irreparably damaged by an increase in traffic and overcrowded local amenities.

Summary: Concerning proposed housing development between stonnall Rd and Lazy Hill Rd .
The objection is that this is agricultural green belt land used for more than 100 years , for farming , producing food for us all.
Also there are not enough amenities already, Doctors, schools
Etc ,To fit the current populations needs in Aldridge .looking at the percentages of brown building sites vs green field sites for building , it’s already nearly 50% of green field sites !! That have been earmarked! ? Therefore I strongly object to this proposed housing development

Our priority should be protecting the green belt and enhancing it, not destroying it. The loss of green belt in Pelsall/Shelfield - Coronation Street will affect the local residents by depriving them of access to green spaces, as well as removing vital habitats for wildlife, including a variety of birds, deer and small mammals. Further investigation should be carried out into brownfield sites before precious green belt is obliterated.

Dear Sirs,
With reference to the proposed planning for developments at York Bridge Pelsall and Coronation Road/Mob Lane we strongly object.
Firstly, these proposed sites are on fields and we consider these as green belt - not Brown fill sites.
Secondly, this will considerably impact on people already living in the area. It will not only ruin the quality of life for residents living in these areas. It will increase pressure on schools, our shops and Doctors with over populating these areas. We need our open spaces to walk and enjoy the countryside - we do not want more houses to look at!!
It will increase traffic especially where we live - it is only a small road but it is used as a rat run with traffic speeding down our road very fast! We cannot get off our drive at times with the number of cars, vans and lorries speeding down our road. These developments will only impact on an already busy small road. We do not want any more houses - we want the fields and open land for people and wild life in the area.
We strongly object to these proposed developments!!
Yours faithfully,

Pelsall does not meet this criteria, it cannot cope with the present infrastructure, buses already struggling to manoeuvre through roads that were never designed for such use, schools already at capacity.
Coronation Road is already a nightmare to travel along & this is the pinnacle of the new access route! Simply crazy!
Long delays every day, trying to go to & return from work etc. How can 700 more houses & upto 2000 more cars adding to this daily be a Strategic move?
Loss of green belt areas, natural drainage lost.

I object to this as the roads are already clogged up with cars and especially at school times when Shelfield school is finishing, the traffic queues back from the lights all the way up Coronation Road which makes it impossible to get anywhere when school hours finish. Also this will get rid of the nice green belt land around the local area which will ruin the landscape and area for all residents who already live there.

The scale of this development is too large and ill-placed, based on:
1. Access pinch points, particularly on the west (Coronation Rd/Vicarage Rd toPelsall) and east (Green Lane/Mob Lane to Walsall wood)
2. Negative effects of removal of green space on resident mental health and on local ecosystem.

Building 763 homes on a partial flood plain seems unwise ?. This will generate even more traffic towards Fordbrook lane, which at school times is busy and quite dangerous, having to weave in & out of parked cars. The other exit down Green Lane towards the black cock is often closed for works at the sewage plant & the black cock bridge is currently really dangerous being only a single passing.
This leaves either a rat run through broad lane & high heath or up to the busy Shelfield lights via Green lane
Also means destruction of wonderful green belt

Commenting on WAH238 in particular. A report just out says that we have lost almost half of our biodiversity and this plan eats even more into the wildlife corridor. It is said that it is our last chance to save the planet. We can only do so by making difficult and perhaps expensive decisions and one is at present o build ONLY on brownfield sites.

Housing will destroy wildlife habitats and important Green Belt land
Pelsall will lose its unique village feel, important to its residents
The schools/medical/retail/leisure facilities will be swamped

This is a bio-diverse and popular area with local walkers and nature-lovers. It is a mental health lifeline for so many and a connection to nature that doesn’t first require a car journey. To take this experience from our community would be devastating for so many. I regularly see a number of different species of animals in the area proposed for development. Where will they go? I appreciate the need for affordable housing but at what cost? Climate change is a greater threat than housing. Please find an alternative to building on our green belt land.

Building on Green Belt land is environmentally unsound. This land is the only open and wild space within walking distance in this area - any alternative is a significant drive away. This is a necessary space for many local residents, not just for dog walking. It is a habitat for a huge and varied population of wildlife. This space has been one of very few lifelines for me personally, and as a family, and many other people, during the extended lockdowns.

This land is vital for the health and well-being of the local population. It provides access to nature, with an number of different species. The site has poor access and additional pressure on the local roads will cause additional pollution, traffic build up and accidents. There are public footpaths which will be affected by the build, and the migration of deer through the area will be affected leading to more accidents as they are pushed onto roads instead of using the existing fields which would be built on.

The area already has traffic issue. Green Lane and Mob Lane aren't wide enough and Coronation Road especially where the bungalows and terraces are already cause dangerous traffic issues. Fordbrook Lane also is very heavy with traffic especially at rush hour. I don't see how the junction of Hall Lane and Walsall Road can be widen to resolve these issues especially because of the railway line and the common land. I also have huge concerns about schools being available to support this level of housing and the green belt as this area acts as a vital green way

Drainage has been mentioned in the plan but Coronation Road and Fordbrook Lane are both impacted by flash flooding. The plan doesn't mention Flood Risk impact assessment only that drainage issues will be considered. I view drainage and flooding as two separate concerns.

The proposed development into the green way at Vicarage Road and Coronation Road will narrow this wildlife corridor to practically nothing. Deer, bats and many other species are regularly seen using this area, particularly the cover provided by the woods surrounding Ford Brook.
Ryders Mere pools and the surrounding fields are an important habitat widely used by migratory birds. The proposed development directly impacts that habitat and, due to the already extremely heavy traffic, it would require more roads being built through the wildlife corridor and across common land.

Wildlife impact - I've already mentioned my concerns in this area and have requested an Wildlife impact assessment to form part of the plan but specifically want to draw attention to the roosting bat population in the area and request that in line with protection offered by the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and The Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017 that bat surveys are carried out.
