To say I am astonished to see a proposal to convert open farmland into a housing estate is an understatement!
How on earth is High St (A452) Brownhills and Sandhills (A461) going to cope with the additional traffic - you can't widen the A452 with houses on both sides!
In my family we have 2 wheelchair users, I am part of the extended care team for both, I have to travel almost daily from Brownhills to both Clay Hanger and Walsall Wood to assist with my niece and Aunties care needs, the traffic congestion in and around Anchor Bridge is extreme at school and peak work times, it isn't always possible for me to avoid traveling at peak times, especially with my work patterns (I work in Aldridge - so again travel via A452/A461 or B4152 (Lindon Road), this new housing estate will make my difficult journies even worse, when I need to be in place for particular times.
I have other friends and relatives with breathing problems now, what is going to be the effect on their conditions with the additional pollution and diminishing air quality as housing estate of this size would cause.
We struggle now for doctors/dentist appointments in our area, how is this additional burden going to be managed without affecting us local residents??
