Representation Summary:

I am writing this in support of John Corbett Meadow being given the designation of a local green space as outlined in policy DSA4 Corbett Meadow Local Green Space (p. 434) and as an area of high historic landscape value as outlined in policy ENV5 Historic Character and Local Distinctiveness of the Black Country (p. 230).

I am in support of Corbett Meadow becoming a local green support as any housing development would increase the already high amount of road traffic on Vicorage Road, High street and the other nearby local roads which increase the likelihood of road accidents in these areas, particularly on Vicorage Road.

This green space is one of the few green spaces we have in the local area which is also used by natural wildlife as part of the Coalbourne Brook Valley, not to mention that this land was left to the Stourbridge community by John Corbett in 1892.

It being developed on would provide a short term potential income gain, where as if it is classed as a Local Green Space, it could potentially be used as a local community area for the sake of the public's mental and physical wellbeing which would restart a history of this space being used for public use as was intented when John Corbett gifted the Meadow in first place.
