Traffic is already impassable with tailbacks from Vicarage – Mill Road - Coronation Road. The inclusion of a further 713 households’ cars will make the entire area gridlocked without any new road and pavement infrastructure implemented. Moreover it would also require the widening of pavements to make them safe for pedestrians with increased traffic flow (currently the pavement either side of the bridge is barely wide enough for one person to walk let alone allow for the use of pushchairs/wheelchairs/mobility scooters). This stretch of land is classified as common land so this will not be achievable, and therefore dangerous.
