The proposed development into the green way at Vicarage Road and Coronation Road will narrow this wildlife corridor to practically nothing. Deer, bats and many other species are regularly seen using this area, particularly the cover provided by the woods surrounding Ford Brook.

Ryders Mere pools and the surrounding fields are an important habitat widely used by migratory birds. The proposed development directly impacts that habitat and, due to the already extremely heavy traffic, it would require more roads being built through the wildlife corridor and across common land.
