I am writing with great concern and also to object, along with many other people I'm sure, to the development proposals.
In my view these green belt areas really matter and studies have shown that living in rural areas help through recreation and spending time in peace, quiet and being close to nature, it enhances the health and well-being of everyone living in more rural areas.
Green belt land, as you know is often agricultural land and we must not concrete this land over - building large amount of houses on green belt land is not the answer!
There is also the fact that building on green belt land requires lots of extra infrastructure with associated costs and also more carbon emissions bellowing into the clean environment that we have and enjoy.
We need to stop the urban sprawl and building more cities and towns is not required in green belt area. Spreading cities and towns are not what we need.
We do not need to build on green belt land and spoil it...we need to protect the arable land that we can help to feed us and protect our well-being.
I urge you to listen to everyone's objections for these development plans.
