Draft Black Country Plan

Respondent: Mr Michael Greenwood

Representation Summary:

I strongly object to the proposed development at the site referred to as The Triangle for the following reasons: -
Traffic - the amount of local traffic would increase dramatically causing traffic flow and disrepair issues as wll as increasing the danger to residents by the amount of additional cars.
Environment - The Triangle is a natural haven for wildlife with many species using it as their dwelling. Skylarks regularly nest in The Triangle's vicinity in spring along with other birds. Foxes and other animals are known to to be present also and would be eradicated if houses were to be built.
Infrastructure - schools, doctors' surgeries, hospitals in the vicinity would not be able to cope with the additional amount of people introduced to the area and would be swamped. Roads, as they are, would not cope with the additional traffic.
Greenbelt - it is SCANDALOUS to build on any greenbelt site when there are identified BROWNFIELD SITES within the borough. You are not only robbing THIS generation of greenbelt but FUTURE ones as well.
