1) Effects on the Road Infrastructure [underlined]
Roads around Wall Heath including the 449 are conjested peak times are bumper to bumper. With an increase of traffic that would be caused with housing in turn will cause the increase to the air pollution, noise levels and possible road traffic accidents.
The increase of air pollution this will lead to health issues / detriments for example, rise in chest issues, asthma increase / excacerbation and even death from the changes in air pollution. Living on Holcroft road, the volume of traffic using it as a cut through is on the increase, these people can often be speeding down the road with no consideration for the residents - this is an accident waiting to happen especially with Maidensbridge School being on the estate.
2) The effects on local health services [underlined]
The local GP Services already struggling under the amount of patients they already have, unable to get appointments now so how will more people living in the area how will local residents get appointments. With an increase on the GP services, the in turn will add to our local hospital, waiting times to see specialists / A&E is already working to its maximum level. so not being able to get access to specialists for treatment will add stress to patient, leading to mental health issues, a service already being stretch.
3) The effects on local schools [underlined]
With an increase of housing, places for local residents will have problems accessing their local schools. Will the schools keep class sizes to the legal requirements? how will or what impact will this have on childrens education, something that is already in pressure. Wall Heath Primary schools over subscribed / secondary are also full.
4) The effect on local wildlife / environment & loss of Green Belt [underlined]
The open space plays a vital role for residents for walking, especially over the last 18 months where this has played a vital role in the mental health of the local residents. Open spaces are vital for our mental health.
The loss of wildlife, animals, bird, birds of prey (owls). The UK is already being encouraged to take action and protect our wildlife. Removing the green spaces is certainly not protecting our wild life, we shouldn't be removing this. as an authority Dudley should be making a big effort to protect our wildlife as once they have gone, there is NO GOING BACK! [underlined].
