I wish to register my objection to the proposed housing developments in the Sutton Road/Longwood Lane area as outlined in the Black Country Development Plan.

Not only is this an encroachment on our supposedly protected green belt, but the additional traffic (both domestic and construction) that would result would also cause increased congestion and pollution on Sutton Road and provide added stress to local residents.

Why build in the green belt when brownfield sites can be utilised first? I was under the impression that the Conservative manifesto outlined a commitment to ensuring the protection of the green belt or was this an empty pledge? I urge you to support local residents by asking for the Sutton Road/Longwood Lane proposals to be removed from the Black Country Plan
