Draft Black Country Plan

Representation ID: 16451

Received: 11/10/2021

Respondent: Mrs & Mr Sharon Eaton

Representation Summary:

We wish to oppose the proposed development WAH231 for the reasons below.

The current owners of part of the site proposed where not consulted and do not support the
development.
The huge capacity proposed has no additional infrastructure sitting alongside, such as schools,
doctors and dentists.
Both roads, Sutton Road and Longwood Lane are already exceptionally busy with long traffic
queues each morning and evening.
Any Longwood lane access would create severe traffic congestion through the day.
There has already been an increase in lorries, creating additional pollution and noise, therefore
a greater health risk to residents and their wellbeing.
There is no pedestrian, cycle access or street lighting which is already a hazard.
The development will adversely affect the value of properties in the area during the build with
noise and pollution and post build with the loss of privacy.
As this is a site of local importance for nature conservation (SLINC) it should be protected and if
removed will impact the wildlife habitat greatly. It also acts as a buffer to separate
neighbouring villages from Walsall.
