Draft Black Country Plan

Representation ID: 15783

Received: 04/10/2021

Respondent: Laird Stephen J Taylor

Representation Summary:

I wish to object on the building of houses on green land, especially on the Severn Drive and Bryce Road locations. Houses are needed, I know, but there are plenty of old buildings that could be converted or old factories knocked down without encroaching on Green land.
Our NHS is stretched to breaking point as it is with lack of GP's, try getting an appointment when you need one, so more people coming into the area will only escalate the problem.
Schools are overfull, with classes too big to give pupils the time and education they deserve. Space will also be lost for these children to play with other children.
Trees will have to be cut down and lost which goes against everything the government is advocating in the light of Global warming. The building of houses on the Severn Drive site would cause problems with access, pollution, and the congestion it would cause would, I'm sure, test the patients of all residents in the area.
I do not wish to live in a concrete jungle, Green spaces are needed for all, on mental health issues.
To the councillors who approve these proposals I would say "Enjoy this tenure while it lasts" for the people in these area will not forget when next vote.
