Representation Summary:

Opposing Green belt housing plan Doe Bank Lane B43/Aldridge Rd Streetly B74
> I am completely opposed to the plans to build on green belt sites on the Doe Bank Lane/ Streetly border.
> As a resident of Streetly the infrastructure of school, shops and Medical practices are completely overwhelmed as it is & adding to it does not constitute a positive move forward. Having lived in this area all my life, my brother when younger suffered from very band chest and breathing problem. It was advised by our doctor then that this area was the best place for him as the air was better for him due to the estates being surrounded by green belt. With more people suffering with their health with chest problems now surely building on this land will cause more pollution which will make a drastic affect on their health. Also we have lots more people suffering from mental health problems in these times. Outdoor green surrounding are important for peoples well being. Destroying the surrounding green natured area would be a tragedy for mental health. There are lots of derelict factory’s and brown field sites around the area surly it’s would be better to use these.
> One of the reasons I choose to live in Pheasey/Streetly is because of the green belt areas.
> The country is urged to go green, how on earth is this a step forward?
