Draft Black Country Plan

Representation ID: 15469

Respondent: Mrs Caryl Phillips

Representation Summary:

IMLand's proposal is to 'create a new neighbourhood' by building houses on green belt land, avoiding the creation of any infrastructure to support the new residents regarding access to healthcare, schooling etc.
Their 'green area' is a hilly part of the site beneath massive electric pylons. Which would be costly to even attempt to build on.
This development will not give new residents 'health & wellbeing gains' because they will be destroying the very thing that makes them possible.
I fear about traffic problems at 900 houses will probably have 1,000 cars with poor access to the site.
Local buses are infrequent and we have no access to trains in this locality. Traffic queues are a daily problem already on Aldridge Rd and Foley Rd.
Surely smaller developments would benefit everyone as we would all be able to benefit and keep our green belt safe.
