Draft Black Country Plan

Representation Summary:

We are commenting on the proposed building of 580 homes on green belt land at Yorks Bridge, Pelsall.
It is already of great concern that a new bridge is to be built here, which will encroach on the farm estate. The bridge itself is going to add to the traffic using the B4154, and thus exacerbating the already major congestion at the Fingerpost lights. Another 580 households with cars would significantly increase this problem.
How are these households to be supported in terms of schools and doctors (already a problem!) and other services?
The land in question is quite definitely "green belt", i.e countryside. Why could housing not be built on the Old Bush site, where an Aldi store is proposed? That would surely make more sense.
SAVE OUR GREENBELT!
