Representation Summary:

I am writing to strongly object to your plans for housing on WEC on Smestow Valley Nature Reserve, page 608 ref WOH274 WTNA
Smestow Valley Nature Reserve is an extremely valuable outside area that, at present, is accessible for many people, wildlife and plant life. Your plans for housing will exclude the majority of people and give the advantage to a few people.
The outside area gives us oxygen and improves mental health and physical health. It gives young and old the wonderful opportunity to experience nature at its best and in their own proximity.
There are many benefits for many people.
Natural area to roam
Benefits of mental and physical health
Thriving, well established nature
Biodiversity
Wetland
WEC is not now, nor ever was a brownfield site. Any building will be subject to the flooding that we see regularly in other parts of the country that have been built on the wrong sites. The area does now, and will continue to flood.
There are considerably more disadvantages to building there than there are disadvantages. We must protect people, wildlife and nature
