I am writing in connection with the Black Country Plan ref WOH274 WTNA, WEC Smestow Valley, Wolverhampton.

I would like it recorded that I object to the proposal to put housing on the WEC.
Although I no longer live in the area my parents and grandparents did and they would be very saddened by these proposals.
The loss of such a natural habitat and the ability to be able to walk and explore it would be devastating. If there is one thing that lock-down has taught us it is that the opportunity to get outside and relax in the countryside is very important for people’s well-being and mental health.
The damage to the local plants and wild-life with the consequent loss of bio-diversity etc. needs be considered here. These will not easily be replaced.
There surely must be some brownfield sites elsewhere which could be better utilised for these proposals
