RE: The development of the Brandhall Golf Course Green Space
I'm sure you have received many objection letters / forms stating valid reasons why not to develop i.e. more loss of green space, the fact that we cannot currently get doctors appointments in this area, accident hot spots (which I personally witness on many occasions as I walk past that route on way home to and from work), the flooding concerns, as we have already seen evidence of this from the development of the old college site housing development in Brook Road... I could go on.

However, when are the Government going to actually address the real problem of housing instead of building on green areas (those which are actually left) and actually tackle the fundamental issues which are:
1. The out of control housing market regarding ridiculously high house prices etc
2. The vicious circle of people renting at extortionate rates because they cannot afford to get on the housing ladder due to point number 1 above.
3. Allowing people / organisations to have a portfolio of property which is the disease that is causing / driving the above problems stated in points 1 and 2 above.

Why does the Government allow anyone to have more than two properties? A house is somewhere to live, it was never meant to be a business or an area to exploit for profit. People buying up blocks and areas just for the purpose of renting should never be allowed. And this all comes down to profit and greed. How can companies from overseas buy entire blocks in areas of the UK without ever viewing them and no intention of ever living in them. Its hypocrisy and greed.

I have seen the map of the areas planned for development and even if you go ahead and develop ALL these areas, it will still be a drop in the ocean regards housing and will not cover the governments failings in its housing crisis failures.

It is my personal understanding that no matter how many objections you receive, they will not affect the decision, as the issue here is profit, greed, money, money, money, money.

If someone does read this, then I hope they will do the right thing and not develop... but money talks and profit and greed will always win.
