Representation Summary:

My comment refers to the proposed housing development in the Wood Hayes area of Wolverhampton.
Although I appreciate that there is a need for housing, particularly affordable housing, but I have concerns about this development. The plan shows housing on both sides Wood Hayes Road, the continuation of Wood End Road (after the intersection of Blackhalve Lane). This is in fact a very narrow lane which is often prone to flooding where it crosses the stream which is an important part of local drainage and is already used by a considerable amount of local traffic to gain access to the A460 leading to Cannock and both the M54 and the M6. Thus my main concern is that there will be adequate consideration of the need for proper drainage in the area and provision for increased traffic for accessing the development. As previously stated Wood Hayes Road is very narrow and there is already frequent congestion for traffic joining or crossing the A460 at the junction of Belton Avenue.
