Representation Summary:

This is an OBJECTION in respect of the proposal to build new homes on land adjacent to Wood Hayes Road, Wednesfield, which I would add is incorrectly identified on your map as Wood End Road! This could be viewed as a disinterest in the feelings of the local community and a real couldn't care less attitude!
The plans to build in this area will signifcantly impact our community. There is a communal field off this lane, that is used by families, dog owners, children alike. This is a dog friendly community and this is one of only a couple of places people can walk dogs, sometimes allowing them to run free. This is a central hub, and people meet and chat. It is not just those in the immediate vicinity using this area, but further afield with people using the space, who live off Long Knowle Lane, for the very reason this is one of a couple of accessible spaces.
Children use the playing field and the goal posts and pitch over there. Young families take children to ride bikes, play games, first snow fall brings everyone out over there to enjoy, safely. The only other area is off Blackwood Avenue, which is small park area utilised and put there for the families in the surrounding flats, so this would not be anywhere near large enough or safe enough to accommodate the community that use the land off Wood Hayes Road.
It is noted that on the original plan there were a number of sites earmarked in and around the Lower Penn area, which have since been disregarded. One cannot help but feel this is due to the fact 'money talks ' and objections were raised by more affluent members of the community and the push is now for the not so affluent areas to pick up the slack!
Why can Brownfield Sites not be used? Lets face it Wolverhampton was once an industrial hub, but this has now become a long distant memory leaving numerous unused/abondonded sites that could be used as opposed to taling over what is left of this beautiful natural space, housing some of natures loveliest creations.!
There was a paper drawn up buy South Staffs, as per the below link, which has suggested the land in and around Oakley Farm, leading onto the right Wood Hayes Road and Blackhalve Lane, is a viable site to build. Have the two councils consulted or are we to be over run when the two potential developmens meet.?

Stay away from this area please there is so little natural area in Wolverhamptoin and I for one will not allow this to happen - noted the meetings for the local area were not widley publicised ..deliberate ploy perhaps, to deter objections?
