I strongly object to any further development of land around Wednesfield. Two large housing estates have been built on Lakefield Road plus numerous smaller housing developments. These developments are already impacting massively on the quality of life for Wednesfield residents and they are not yet complete. Access to schools, doctors and dentists is already overstretched, traffic congestion gets worse by the week and air quality is compromised. Any further development can only exacerbate this degradation of our town. Since Wednesfield was unfortunately integrated into Wolverhampton, successive councils have exploited the assets of this once pleasant small town and, to a large extent, destroyed a quality environment. Our open spaces are not only valued for many leisure activities but are necessary for our health and that of the wildlife. Council members bear the responsibility for the well-being of residents in their care, I do not feel that recent members have lived up to this responsibility in regard to Wednesfield.This is not what I will vote for.
