I strongly oppose to the Draft Black Country Plan, in particular the application to use the site at Calderfields West. As a resident of Buchanan Rd, I am extremely distressed and concerned for the following reasons;
-We decided to buy our home because of the peace and privacy that comes with living on a no-through road surrounded by beautiful greenbelt land, something that will be taken away from us if this plan goes ahead.
-I dont believe the surrounding roads and main roads will cope with the additional cars and traffic from the new houses. Buchanan Rd and other roads in the area will become a 'rat run'.
- The impact on wildlife in the area will be under threat we have [Redacted-sensitive information] to name a few. Their habitat will dwindle and their survival threatened.
-The Arboretum and open space surrounding it is essential to many residents mental and physical welllbeing. This plan will spoil the character and landscape of the park and cause distress to many visitors
