Representation Summary:

Wolverhampton North East Greenbelt Land in Bushbury Adjacent to Legs Lane and Bushbury Lane
Proposed 500 houses

To whom it may concern,
From the moment we moved on to [road], Bushbury in [year], we have had difficulty from day one exiting this estate. Cat & Kittens Lane, Northycote Lane, Legs Lane and Bushbury Lane have been used as a cut through to get to Wolverhampton or other destinations. At the same time this estate was built, Featherstone was also being developed which meant more traffic on these lanes.
Traffic from Cannock, The m6, Shareshill and Featherstone have been using these roads as shortcuts to get wherever their destinations may be and usually speeding, certainly not going at a reasonable speed to which we have seen several accidents at our junction of Abbeyfield Road, thankfully none fatal as yet.
Also at the same time, Greenfield Lane is being used as a short cut from the Stafford Rd, due to traffic being at a standstill, which is a regular occurrence. So getting out of Abbeyfield and Westering Parkway has become quite difficult especially peak times but most of the day as well.
A development of approximately 500 homes is going to be a massive problem for Bushbury Lane, as i used this lane 2 weeks ago to get to Wolverhampton, waiting time in the lane was almost 30 minutes. I presume this is the build up of traffic trying to get on to the Stafford Road, so this development could mean approx. several hundred vehicles all trying to move to Wolverhampton early morning, real problems. The development of the old Goodyear site has seen traffic congestion on the Stafford Rd, hence it being at a standstill several times a day. Also there are still lots of houses being built on Goodyear with their exit being Bushbury Lane.
This area does not have enough schools, the only academy was demolished a couple of years ago, we are also lacking doctors surgeries in this area.
Moving on, we are now threatened with the ministry of defence site a couple of hundreds yards away, being demolished to make way for factory units, more traffic on these lanes. Almost certainly there will be a new feeder link joining the M54 from the M6, more noise and pollution from that.
We don't need any more traffic on our lanes. Keep fields green.
