Air quality in the Brandhall/Old Warley area of the borough is poor and residents are at risk due to PM2.5 levels
Sandwell (overall) Ranks 254 out of 317 Local Authorities for concentration of PM2.5 (10.64μg/m3 background) which is rated as dangerous and in breach of WHO limits.
Sandwell has been declared as an Air Quality Management Area due to likely exceedances of the Air Quality Objective for Nitrogen Dioxide of 40 ug/m3.
