Our elected representatives (m.p/ mayor of West Midlands/leader of Dudley Council) all share the view, as I do, that the focus should be on re-developing existing brownfield sites.
Green belt/greenfield sites are precious commodities. Once built on they are lost forever. I moved to my current address [x] years ago and the close proximity to natural, green fields, with the abundant associated wildlife, was a major factor in that move.
Worcester lane is already a very busy road with much of the traffic exceeding the 40 mph limit. 115 additional houses would put an extra burden on traffic volume increasing delays particularly at rush hours and school runs.
I hope that common sense prevails and that the proposed development is removed from the Black Country Plan.
