Draft Black Country Plan

Representation Summary:

I wish to register my objection to the proposal to build 15 houses on our 'green' area between Severn Drive and Fernhurst Drive (DUH222).
This green is the heart of our community and is well used on a daily basis, by residents of all ages. It has been invaluable during the pandemic both for our mental health and for exercise and relaxation.
The well established trees are a haven for wildlife enjoyed by all.
I am so saddened to think that we might lose this space.
I have taken some time out this week to study the Black Country Plan and try to understand what it means for us. Initially I can see that in December this site was removed from the proposal and I confused to see that it is now included in the plan. It leaves me wondering as to the accuracy of the information.
In addition following the re-development of the main road at Tansey Green it has become increasingly difficult to join the main road from this area with Corbyns Hill road now a major throughfare.
It is practically impossible to turn right at the bottom of Corbyns Hall Lane because of the traffic lights and also people using the Sainsburys supermarket are regularly parking on the roadside instead of using the car park. These roads are not equipped for the volume of traffic already using them let alone any extra or construction vehicles.
I can confidently speak for all concerned when I say that we will fight this proposal to the bitter end.
