To whom this may concern,
I am writing this letter as a concerned Pensnett resident to object strongly against the plans of building new homes within Pensnett.

I believe the development would be detrimental and destroy the character of our village that already suffers severe traffic congestion, lack of school spaces and health care waiting lists not to mention the areas mentioned being a small number of green spaces left in our neighbourhood.

The desert, as it is known to us locals has been used for years by families and sports clubs. Football teams have previously used this pitch until the council took down the posts and refused to establish the green as a pitch. Numerous teams have enquired about using the green to be rejected. Dog walkers are regularly seen together chatting, families having picnics, children gather to play football and even adults practising their golf swing. This piece of land at the top of Bryce Road also features several wildlife including, foxes, bats, moles and birds. The demolition of this field would cause extinction of these animals within this vicinity. This development would also have a huge impact on the triangle of the 3 estates that this piece of greenery serves.

I have lived in Pensnett for [x] years spending the last [x] in [Road given]. I have recently brought my home from Dudley Council on the understanding that our quiet cul-de-sac and fields would serve my grandson as it has my own children. The increase in traffic is a big concern for me and i would not appreciate the number of vehicles and pollution it would cause if Bryce Road was made an access road for this development. It is already congested with a large volume of vehicles from residents that live on the street without extra being forced through this already small road.

I have also had the pleasure of working for 4 years in a local primary school where class sizes were bursting (36 in one year class). This is only going to get worse and will have a massive impact on our future generations. Good schools are very hard to find and with a lot of pressure on education, this will put extra strain on our teachers and school staff.

Our NHS is stretched to the max already with residents already complaining that getting an appointment at their local GP is hard and having to wait on endless lists for treatment. Increasing the population in this small village is only going to make matters worse.

Dudley Council have already taken a significant amount of land from the locals including sports facilities, closing schools and shutting GP surgeries without taking our green fields as well.

To conclude I feel that Dudley Council have tried their hardest to hide this project from the residents of Pensnett. There are many large derelict sites that could be used that would enhance and improve Dudley without causing disruption, upsetting residents and taking away the people's areas. Most people are aware of the debt that our local council are in, and I feel that they are selling this land to claw back the money that they have wasted at our expense, and I will personally do what I can to stop this development from advancing.
