I strongly wish to register by objection to the building of houses on both The Greens backing onto Severn Drive.

My main reasons are as follows:

- There is already over-development in Pensnett and the surrounding areas, we already have a massive development being built on The Old Brickworks when roads have had to altered and the estate just keeps on growing. The traffic in the area is already fully-congested and will only get worse with the expansion of Pensnett Trading Estate and the Amazon warehouse etc, etc, etc.

- Within a 10 minute walk of Severn Drive, there are several smaller sites that the council could compulsory purchase as the builders do not seem to want the demolition costs, these plots are not Green Land so could be easily used without affecting our open spaces - details and photographs can be provided if needed.

- During covid, our Greens were a Godsend for people going on their daily walks, for local residents who were struggling, a little walk "up The Green" improved their mental health and continues to do so.

- It is an absolute joy to see the children in the community getting together, again after covid, it is a lovely sight and we would not want to lose this.

- Local dog walkers take great advantage of these green spaces and, again, it would be sad to see this end, the Council have provided dog bins either end of The Green and it is an ideal place to meet up with follow-dog walkers.

- The classroom numbers in our local schools are too high already and local children within the catchment area are struggling to even gain a place in their chosen schools.

- The wildlife that The Greens encourage includes a resident Barn Owl which visits every night, we have had bats in the trees ever since we have lived here. A cheeky young fox climbs over the back fence, not to forget the hedgehogs and hundreds of smaller birds who nest in the trees surrounding The Green.
