Draft Black Country Plan

Representation Summary:

Site Ref: DUH217

1. Site is a county lines barrier. The path to it is used as an escape route by criminal gangs exiting Hyperion Road. Expanding access will result in increased local crime.

2. Families visit the site to see the horses and abundant bird life. It's an oasis of calm and has been especially vital for people's mental health during lockdowns.

3. Removing this green belt area removes the only buffer between 2 large housing estates (and access to the canal?).

4. Development will lead to increased traffic and increased pressure on already over subscribed local services.
