- provides access to green open space
- public authority has a duty to conserve biodiversity
- pathway to the countryside
- area forms a green boundary between Dudley and South Staffs
- Development of the area should not be approved as it is harmful to the green belt and would be inappropriate
- provides vital exercise space for local residents
- fantastic resource for wildlife
- loss of bridleways
- noise and pollution would increase
