Areas of land around Gornal Wood, for example the Straits and Ruiton, which have been proposed for building. I object to this proposal as this land is more beneficial left as green belt/ fields rather than yet another housing estate. The area houses a great deal of wildlife and birds including green woodpeckers (I have seen them myself here) and has done so for many centuries. It has a calm natural beauty that is missing in Dudley in general and is praised by many visitors to the area. I doubt if anyone will be praising a housing estate. There are other suitable sites in the Dudley area that could by used for building, why destroy a thing of beauty?
