Gypsy and travellers must be provided with transit sites over the region. There has to be a strategy to provide education support for the children.
we must consider use of low quality green belt land such as whately fields in my ward Blakenall Walsall which is currently green belt and an ASB nightmare.
There are sites which are contaminated and need special attention to bring into use.
consideration must be given to adjacent pollution issues such as motorways and impact on residents.

in assessing sites for new housing consideration must be given for good transport links for health, employment education. A plan as part of health in all policies should include routes for residents to travel by foot and bike along off road routes. Also all new housing should have consideration for longer term disability requirements such as dementia, lack of mobility etc built into the plans to avoid future expensive investment in aids and adaptions.

I think there are low quality green(ish) zones that could be developed if they are in exactly the right place. in my ward whateley field is a green belt area ( Blakenall) but should be developed for housing as is plagued by ASB.
Access to the proposed expansion to the severn trent sewerage plant should not be via Goscote Lodge crescent in Blakenall where large new residential site proposed.. should be via a new access via Slacky lane
