Listing DUH217.
Although only a small section of green belt it provides important access & pathways to other areas of open countryside. I am also extremely concerned at the impact on an already strained infrastructure & services. The kingsway itself is an estate road not a main highway, the increase in traffic alone in particular near a primary school WILL prove to be a danger. We already have oversubscribed schools & our doctors surgeries are creaking under the sheer volume of patients attempting to use it,.
The site is wholly inappropriate for housing developments.

I object to the inclusion of greenfield sites in this plan which have a high ecological value and are important for the well-being of local residents. Particularly the grazing land at Wollaston Farm (DUH217) which is home to protected species such as and bats. I walk my dogs here so I know how well used the land is by local residents and that losing it would be hugely detrimental for their mental health.

DUH208 & DUH218
you have removed these LIMITED green belt areas from the green belt classification in order to enable urban sprawl. These areas are precious areas of habitat connectivity and green space, breaking up the existing urban sprawl. By building on these areas you are robbing the existing local human population of what little green space there is and contributing to Biodiversity NET LOSS, directly going against the current national Biodiversity Net GAIN policy.
There is absolutely no need to build on these areas, the midlands has more than enough brownfield areas that should prioritised to regeneration and redevelopment.

Impact on the local schools, I have already experienced living in [Area] for past 20 years having to send children to different schools (opposite directions) due to limited intake from this area. As the schools not been within walking distance, have to travel by car, adding traffic congestion.
Already experience delays & stress getting medical appointments at the local doctors surgery, past few years keep getting sent to the surgery at [Area], despite registering at the local surgery 20 years ago.
The current green belt helps with general wellbeing as able to go for walks.

I object to the plan to build on greenfield sites with reference to DUH217, DUH206, DUH207, DUH209 and DUH211 because it would mean loss of green belt, lower quality of life, negative impact on traffic and transport, danger issues around traffic/parking/school children, pressure on local facilities, destruction of local environment and important history should be diminished. DUH217 is an important wildlife corridor and Public authority have a duty to conserve biodiversity.

I object to allocation of greenbelt sites:
DUH206F (Worcester Lane North)
DUH207 (Worcester Lane Centre)
DUH209 (Worcester Lane South).
All are in an Area of High Historic Landscape Value.
They are adjacent to a Site of Local Importance for Nature Conservation.

Site DUH217 (Grazing Land, Wollaston Farm): this should be used as public open space, is in an area of high landscape sensitivity and should be protected due to Tranquillity.

I object to Site ID 10511 (Three Fields, Dunsley Road, Norton) not being designated as a Local Green Space. It meets all LGS criteria and has community significance.

DUH209, Worcester Lane South; Objection to allocation because: Sites lie in an AHHLV. Adjacent to SLINC. Would constitute unacceptable harm to green belt.

2) Site: DUH217, Grazing Land Wollaston Farm. Objection to allocation as site: Should be used as a public open space. Falls in an area of high Landscape sensitivity. Should be protected due to Tranquillity.

3) Site: ID 10511, Three Fields. Objection to this site not being designated as a Local Green Space: Meets criteria for LGS. Designation would demonstrate significance to the community.

DUH217 If the proposed development of this green belt site goes ahead, it will place intolerable pressure on the local infrastructure - schools, medical services, transport (including access to the development}, sewage. Also the harmful impact on the environment would be substantial - loss of habitat and the removal of a valued leisure amenity which contributes hugely to the health and well being of the community. DUH206, 207 and 209 All of the comments re DUH217 apply to these developments. Green belt areas were created for good reasons and should not be threatened in this manner.

I object to the allocation of these three sites for the following reasons:

I disagree with the Green RAG rating of low/moderate for Green Belt harm for these sites. There would be no “defensible boundary” to this development (Policy GB1, and para 3.16). Development would also encroach on the open countryside between Hagley and Pedmore, going against at least three of the purposes of the green belt (para 138 of the NPPF): (a) checking unrestricted sprawl, (b) preventing neighbouring towns merging, and (c) safeguarding the countryside from encroachment.

There seems to be a lot of land allocated here from greenbelt, which doesn't appear particularly sustainable in the age of climate crisis. Especially when many of these sites will require a car to access, which won't help the young or elderly. Perhaps we need to make use of denser housing allocations per site - areas like Old Swinford show how this can work successfully. Many modern developments have made poor use of land, public spaces that are under utilised.

My wife and I strongly object to the use of greenbelt land being used for development. Specifically the areas around Norton and Pedmore but also generally. Brownfield sites should be used which are usually nearer to facilities and work places. Their use avoids the need for more infrastructure, reduces the need for traffic to commute this reducing pollution. Developers may prefer to build an fresh land but I believe it is generally an bad thing and should only be considered as a last resort

2. With buildings nearby of Himley Hall + Catesby view and the proposed site on or around Sandyfields Rd I feel there will be added pressures to GP surgeries, schools and hospitals.

All the obvious reasons apply. Wildlife, a place to walk dogs, a place for youngsters to congregate without impacting residents. Etc etc

We regularly walk across the green with him. We talk about the trees, how they grow The insects, the bees etc. He is intrigued by all this and has a thirst for the knowledge that that small area gives him. Talking to him about this is fascinating for him. He questions everything to understand why a bee lands on a flower. We are currently nursing a hedgehog back to health. again an opportunity for our grandson to learn about wildlife, endangered species etc. All of this will disappear. It is necessary for us to preserve these areas for the mental well being of all and the education of children.

we need safe, open spaces for us and our children. The site at Severn drive offers a small sized development site but it's value to us is phenomenal and far out weighs the benefits that a few houses may bring.

Fernhurst Drive. (DUH222)
I wish to register my objections to the proposed development of our green spaces in order to fulfil the Governments desires for additional housing stock in the Black Country. I am particularly concerned over the proposals to sell off for house building purposes the two green spaces either side of Butterfield Road behind the houses in Fernhurst Drive. (DUH222)
The reasons for my objections are as follows:

- There has been a large amount of development within the Pensnett area in the recent years. Industrial units have been constructed off Dreadnought Road, a large housing development has been installed off Tansey Green Road and Stallings Lane, housing development off Gibbons Lane to name a few.

- The road network is simply unable to cope with any additional housing development. I believe at one time a Pensnett Bypass was proposed but was never installed. Instead traffic signals were implemented on High Street which we were told would improve the traffic flow, but it has made it worse. It is now almost impossible to turn right towards Russells Hall hospital from Corbyn Hall Lane, so the only alternative is to turn left and make a long detour along Dreadnought Road or attempt to turn right from Commonside. The latter manoeuvre is made almost impossible during peak times as eastbound traffic on High Street blocks the junction. (The council refuse to install a yellow box to prevent this). During term time the Pelican crossing outside St Marks School causes further delays to traffic.

- These green areas are used by a multitude of different people from children playing to dog walkers and people just enjoying walking on the grass. During Lockdown it was a peaceful place to go for many people and enjoy a change of scenery from being locked in the house.
- Pensnett recently suffered the loss of the nearby High Oak doctor's surgery (which was within walking distance for most folks). We were all expecting and hoping for a new surgery and instead it was moved to the Brierly Hill Health and Social Care Centre. This is a bus ride or car journey now for most residents.

- The classroom numbers in our local schools are too high already and local children within the catchment area are struggling to gain a place in their chosen school. Without new schools being built I fail to see how the existing schools will cope in the future.

- We all know that nature has reached crises point and is closing down. The natural world we live in is dying. we've lost nearly 38 million birds in the last 50 years, and life as we know it could disappear within the decade. We need to save our green spaces for the various species that need them to survive. Birds, foxes, bats, butterflies, etc.

[DUH206,207,209]

At Peak traffic on Worcester lane heading south towards Worcester road is gridlocked and heading north to Worcester road towards Hagley road is also gridlocked more houses therefore more cars will exacerbate things in the future. There is limited local public transport on Worcester lane to serve current residents or any potential new ones. Residents on Worcester lane know first hand the amount of local residents that use this green space. Residents even travel in cars, park up and enjoy this space, this has been so useful to residents particularly during pandemic with their mental health this green space is a gateway to public footpaths and bridleways. The idea of walking through a housing estate will stop residents using green spaces surrounding Worcester lane. Therefore we would like to object to housing being built of this green belt land the greenery and mental Health benefits this area provides is far too important to be ignored and built on. There will also be a catastrophic Impact on the natural environment and Loss of agricultural land. This greenbelt should be omitted and continue as green belt land for Dudley residents to enjoy. Brownfield sites should be considered and given our industrial past there are plenty of brownfield sites that could be re-used to build plenty of housing in Dudley. And once green belt status is removed it will not come back. This is one of the most affluent areas in the Borough and any development should reflect its area. On that basis affordable "social" housing will not marry in this area particularly as there are many properties with approx 1m price tags surrounding this Greenfield site. Any housing built on this area will not be affordable and therefore not for-fill the spirit of draft country plan to build affordable housing, it would better service local residents as green belt

We have lived in Bryce Road for most of our married life we have raised both our children here, who were [x]&[x] when we moved in and are now [x] and [x]. we brought off the council a few years later in this quiet cul-de-sac. The Green Space at the end of our street was such a lovely space for our children to play we're always have a dog or dogs in our family life. Also Bryce Road is not wide enough to cater for a through road & the amount of traffic that this will create. It is ridiculous idea to think that this kind of street will be able to accommodate Diggers, lorries and all the massive amount of trucks to build houses on this site.
There are many other places where housing can be built.
But Bryce Road Green space is not suitable for this.
There is wildlife that will suffer as well.

1) The road infrastructure on the ridgeway & viewfield crescent is not suitable for any more traffic due to residential parking & entry exit into viewfield cresent. The site entrance is an accident waiting to happen due to blind spots & parking.
2) The amount of wildlife that is situated on the proposed plot will damage the landscape forever
3) The properties that have been proposed for development will need more amenities such as doctors, schools, etc which are already at a premium in the area.
4) The building of these properties will affect local residents for years while the development or proposed development takes place
