I wish to object in the strongest possible terms to ANY building on green belt in the Dudley Borough area.
In the Council Scrutiny meeting on 6.10.21 your officer [Redacted-sensitive information] admitted that NO bio diversity checks have been made or wildlife impact assessment.
Our roads are already gridlocked, schools over subscribed, GP's over subscribed, huge waiting lists at hospitals.
People need green spaces for mental health and physical fitness. The impact on the environment and climate by building over remaining green land has been underestimated. An audit of preserved or valuable trees has not been carried out.
The quality of life for existing residents will be greatly diminished, with more traffic, parking issues, nowhere to walk dogs or just take a walk in a green environment.
The plan mentions re-wilding - but where will that be as all available space is gradually eroded and built on. Why not just leave the existing habitat alone.
I do not believe that 'exceptional circumstances' apply in any of the areas listed. I do not believe that all brownfield sites have been identified. I do not believe that all empty Council houses that could be refurbished have been. It is clear that if there is a shortage of land that there should be a preference or flats or maisonettes thereby creating more housing from the same brownfield plot.

All the obvious reasons apply. Wildlife, a place to walk dogs, a place for youngsters to congregate without impacting residents. Etc etc
We regularly walk across the green with him. We talk about the trees, how they grow The insects, the bees etc. He is intrigued by all this and has a thirst for the knowledge that that small area gives him. . Talking to him about this is fascinating for him. He questions everything to understand why a bee lands on a flower. We are currently nursing a hedgehog back to health. again an opportunity for our grandson to learn about wildlife, endangered species etc. All of this will disappear. It is necessary for us to preserve these areas for the mental well being of all and the education of children.

we need safe, open spaces for us and our children. The site at Severn drive offers a small sized development site but it's value to us is phenomenal and far out weighs the benefits that a few houses may bring.

There are many brown sites available that could be used that won't impact our children's well being, that said our schools locally are oversubscribed. It is a battle to get a place at local schools. We need to get traffic off the roads, not increase it. Our grandson as an example, he did not get his first choice of primary school. He will Never be able to walk to school because of the distance. This no doubt is the case tor many local residents and will only become more and more difficult as new developments spring up.
Schools are already oversubscribed. More houses create more traffic. All the children in these houses will be driven to school because the distance is too far to walk because there is no availability at local schools. We are supposed to be reducing traffic, due to pollution etc destroying our planet. Nothing in the proposals is helping our environment. The government has

We need our open spaces. Small as they are. Please let ours stay. Protect our health and mental well-being. Allow our endangered wildlife to thrive and protect our planet.

It’s naughty to use our fields for houses because we use them to play on. I play on the fields with my friends and cousins, we play ball, running, rounders, catch. I’m only 4 ½ years old but I love meeting all the doggies that walk over the field. We also love picking the blackberries that grow on the edge of the field every year.
