Also new housing from now on need to meet the highest enviornmental ratings. We should be looking at homes with zero reliability on natural gas and with new estates fitted with renewable energy sources to almost become self sufficient. This doesnt seem to be the priority of many home builders yet as a nation we look to get away from gas boilers within the next decade or so.

We support the objective of delivering higher levels of sustainability in new development, however, we disagree with the need for this policy. It largely replicates Building Regulations.
