Draft Black Country Plan

Representation ID: 11060

Received: 22/09/2021

Respondent: Mr Greg Baker

Representation Summary:

It seems clear that there is massive potential for brown field first opportunities within the Black Country but developers will obviously object and come up with obstacles as this approach will cost more; it is apparently financially more viable to eat into our precious green belt. It seems that the greed for profit is outweighing a more sage approach of preserving our green areas for future generations of families to enjoy while developing run-down inner city and other sub-urban sites. I object most strongly with plans to steel our beautiful greenbelt areas from us!

Respondent: Mrs Diane Locke

Representation Summary:

Reconsider taking our green spaces and turning them into unaffordable housing for most of us.

Draft Black Country Plan

Representation ID: 11135

Received: 23/09/2021

Respondent: Mr Steve Taylor

Representation Summary:

I cannot help but feel that this plan has been designed to make it problematical for many people to navigate it, find the information they are interested in and comment on it. The cynic in me makes me feel that it has been designed as such to put people off commenting. There should have been a mores simplistic and transparent process.

Draft Black Country Plan

Representation ID: 11447

Received: 03/10/2021

Respondent: Mr Andy Dobson

Representation Summary:

The previous consultation demonstrated the strength of feeling in favour of preservation of the Green Belt, which is of both environmental and historical significance to our region. I fully support the stance taken in the present plan to preserve the historic Green Belt, particularly that around Halesowen.

Respondent: Mr CLIVE HEYWOOD

Representation Summary:

re 1,17 Andy Street says there are enough Brownfield sites in the Black Country for the next 15 years!
re 1,18 The desire to protect the environment has not been proven by the plan.

Draft Black Country Plan

Representation ID: 11919

Received: 10/10/2021

Respondent: Ms Julie Edwards

Representation Summary:

If these statements are correct why are you even considering building on the green belt? Surely if you have listened to folk then you would realise that people do not want housing on green belt land. They want it on the derelict sites which litter the Black country. Developers are after a quick profit

Draft Black Country Plan

Representation ID: 12090

Received: 11/10/2021

Respondent: Mrs Jayne Rose

Representation Summary:

Walsall development queslett road/doe bank lane/Aldridge road
1.16. There were no traditional consultations in our area. In fact many residents were not even aware of this plan! It would seem that we were not made aware due to the fact that we now haven’t the necessary time to build up a plan to oppose it.

Draft Black Country Plan

Representation ID: 12852

Received: 07/10/2021

Respondent: Ms Sally Franks

Representation Summary:

The Consultation process is flawed and discriminatory as residents in Pheasey Park Farm and Streetly have been kept out of the loop due to the non-action of the local councillors.

Draft Black Country Plan

Representation ID: 15479

Received: 17/11/2021

Respondent: Mr M A McQueen

Representation Summary:

The respondent is highlighting that they did not receive a letter until after the consultation started.

The consultation started on 16/8/21 but the letter advising us of the proposal wasn't even typed until 23/8/21 and we did not receive it until 26/8/21. Therefore I wasn't even aware of the consultation at the start of it which I think is infringement of the due process.
