Representation ID: 537

Received: 08/09/2017

Respondent: The Woodland Trust

Representation Summary:

We would like you to consider the Woodland Trust's Access to Woodland Standard for inclusion as an indicator in the Black Country Core Strategy. The standard recognises that woodland has the capacity to provide a wide range of social, economic and environmental benefits to local people.

The standard aspires that everyone should have small wood of at least two hectares within 500m of their home and a larger wood of at least 20ha within 4km of their home. Further information can be found in our Space for People Report, which is available on Woodland Trust website
