SLR considers that the current affordable home target should be increased to reflect the 2017 SHMA. This may, however, need to be updated following the publication of the Greater Birmingham and Black Country Housing Market Area (HMA) Strategic Growth Study and any subsequent update to the Strategic Housing Market Assessment. It must also be recognised that this is a target, not a requirement.
