Representation ID: 252

Received: 07/09/2017

Respondent: Dr Michael Hodder

Representation Summary:

A historic environment assessment is required, to inform the Preferred Spatial Options Report and the Green Belt Study. The assessment should include all designated and non-designated heritage assets and consider the potential for as-yet unidentified heritage assets, particularly archaeological remains. There has been a significant increase in the quantity and quality of records in the Historic Environment Records maintained by Black Country LAs. In the Green Belt many archaeological sites are already known, many of which predate the Black Country's industrial development, and many others are likely to survive.
