No. Gallagher Estates consider that detailed guidance for the development of SUEs should be determined by the individual local planning authorities which take account of the local circumstances and requirements for that District or Borough.

Paragraph 50 of the NPPF states that to deliver a wide choice of high quality homes, widen opportunities for home ownership and create a sustainable, inclusive and mixed communities,local planning authorities should:

* Plan for a mix of housing based on current and future demographic trends, market trends and the needs of different groups in community (such as, but not limited to,
families with children, older people, people with disabilities, service families and people wishing to build their own homes); and
* Identify the size, type, tenure and range of housing that is required in particular locations, reflecting local demand.

As such it is considered that the detailed guidance for the development of SUEs should be determined by Local Authorities in order to assess the particular locations of sites and to reflect local demand.
