Black Country Core Strategy Issue and Option Report

Representation ID: 1071

Received: 08/09/2017

Respondent: Mr John C Hall

Representation Summary:

I am extremely concerned about your proposals to develop land to the south of the A456 in Halesowen. Not only will it destroy the surroundings of a site of historic interest (Halesowen Abbey) and beautiful countryside, but also add to the congestion on this main artery, which according to the Green Flag at certain times of the year is the fourth most congested road in the UK.

(see http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/road-and-rail-transport/11506149/The-roads-to-avoid-this-Easter.html)

Even during working days at peak times there is grid lock on the approaches to Grange and Hayley Green islands. Why add to the problems?

Also, why are you having the public consultation in Halesowen on 24th August during normal working hours, when most peoples will not be able to attend. Are you trying to avoid the public?
