Stourbridge Running Club has over 100 members and has nurtured many hundreds more in their running adventures since 1986. We enjoy the peace and calm that nature and our local greenbelt provides us. The greenbelt running routes that we insist must be preserved are as follows therefore we object most strongly to loss of our greenbelt.
1. Site DUH217 Wollaston Farm
Regular running route used all year round on club runs and individual runs from Wollaston. Vital to our members social and sporting life. It also opens up the greenbelt further to adjacent sites as there is no road access to it at the moment. Please reject.
2. Site DUH206 Worcester Lane
Two running routes are on this green belt land. RUNNING RACE! The famous "Stourbridge Stagger" route uses both of these paths and attracts over 500 runners every February from runners all over the country. Also used by club runners to access routes to Clent and Wychbury Hill. Please reject.
