Lack of awareness, within community of plan, and long term outcomes.

Thank you for the time and effort in putting together the Black Country Plan. A few thoughts how to improve engagement with the citizens of our shared community. 1) To have available at venues which display the plan officers, from the various depts. To answer questions relative to the plan.
2) To have available, more than one copy of the plan at the venues displayed.
3) To have at venues areas to which one can sit and make notes relating to the plan.
4) to have open public meetings to question, debate, aspects of the plan, to be held presentation for citizens at local level.
5) Speaking to my neighbours (ten) not one was aware of the plan, or how to respond to such.
6) To be active at senior school level, I.E. forums, parents groups.
In summary much improved engagement with citizens and community required. Thank you.

It is claimed that there are exceptional circumstances now regarding the need for housing and commercial premises, I believe that there is no justification for removing the protection on greenbelt and greenfield land. It can never be replaced as a source of pleasure and enjoyment for the community. It is not sustainable to build on our countryside, resulting in loss of farmland, natural habitat for wild life, hedgerows and trees.

There are many brownfield sites that remain unused because builders prefer new, easy to develop sites that bring greater profits.The homes built on these greenfield sites are not affordable for most people. More recently many shops and offices are closing whose sites would provide extra capacity for homes in towns and cities which are in need of revival and redevelopment.
