Draft Black Country Plan

Representation ID: 10574

Received: 18/08/2021

Respondent: Mr Steven Vanstone

Representation Summary:

The Wolverhampton Environment Centre should be removed from the list of sites deemed suitable for housing. It is not ‘previously developed land’ as the Council claims. It’s use as agricultural land has never been changed using the correct process. The Tettenhall Neighbourhood Plan agreed with the Council is active till 2026 and records that 78% of residents do not want housing here. Housing is incompatible with nature on Wolverhampton’s only statutory local nature reserve. Only 11% of our land is greenbelt - we must keep the little we have.
