Draft Black Country Plan

Representation ID: 11003

Received: 21/08/2021

Respondent: Mr Keith Flinders

Representation Summary:

The development of this policy into green wedges rather than complete rings still makes that aim achievable but filling in part of a green wedge, as is proposed at Viewfield Crescent, with more housing does not.

The Cotwall End Valley is a jewel in the crown of Dudley's leisure/recreation/tourism offer.

The Local Plan proposes to destroy this route with the land off Viewfield Crescent becoming part of a housing development.

Much of the land is too steep for housing.

From east to west there is a 25% gradient, unacceptable for any new road and any access road on a north to south trajectory, cutting into that slope would produce cliff edge issues.

Groundwater infiltration issues.
